Ipoh is the State Capital of Perak and also one of the major cities in Malaysia.  Surrounded by beautiful limestone hills and situated in the Kinta Valley, she has many natural limestone caves that still favoured by tourists.

Ipoh Interesting Places

  • Geological Museum – visitors can see more than 600 samples of minerals and ores found in Perak. Other collection of fossils, precious stones and rock specimens are also display in this museum. Established in 1957, this geological museum is an eye-opening place for poeple who is interested to learn more about Malaysian minerals produces.
  • Sam Poh Tong – Founded by a monk in 1890, it is said to be the largest cave temple in Malaysia. This temple is still managed by group  of monks and nuns till today and has developed into  a popular tourist attraction. From the top of the cave, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Ipoh town.
  • Perak Tong – Situated in the north of Ipoh, this cave temple is a popular place of worship and famous  for her Buddha statues. Visitors can enjoy the cooling temperature and view the beautiful landscapes form the top.
