map-of-perlisPerlis has no commercial air port in the state, visitors have to fly into Alor Setar in the neighbouring state of Kedah which is about 40 km away from Kangar (the state capital of Perlis) and the journey will take about 45 minutes by road.

Being the smallest state in Malaysia, Perlis is not highly industrialised and developed; therefore you can still enjoy plenty of natural environment and traditional Malay villages and the unhurried and peaceful kampong life style.

Situated in the northern tip of the peninsular at the Malaysia Thai border, Perlis has also very significant Thai influence in its’ culture, food and language especially in some of the border towns.
