The Penang Beach attractions lies mainly on the northern stretch of the island. Starting from Esplanades in Georgetown right up to Teluk Bahang in the north wet corner.

  • Esplanades – This is a seafront promenade bordering an open field where festivals and events are often held. Located along this winding stretch are a War Memorial to fallen soldiers, a hawker food court and the ancient Fort Conwallis.

  • Gurney Drive – Named after Sir Henry Gurney, a High Commissioner of Malaya, this seafrontpromenade is famous for its open air hawker centre and Gurney Plaza, an upscaleĀ  Shopping Mall with internatinal boutiques.

  • Batu Feringgi – This is one of Penang most popular beaches and has drawn tourists all year round to its sandy beaches. Along the winding stretch of the coast, you will find a host of attractions from water sports, parasailing, jetskiing and many beach front hotels for your choice.
